Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 447 made a significant change by raising the capacity limit for a single net meter from 100 kilowatts to 500 kilowatts. This means that smaller energy-generating facilities will now be able to use simpler metering systems, reducing the cost and complexity for those generating less energy. Additionally, the amendments removed mentions of nuclear incentive programs, focusing more on improving public outreach about energy metering and safety. This shift is important as it streamlines regulations and makes renewable energy generation more accessible for smaller producers.
