Plain-language change summary

The recent legislative amendments to Bill LB 168 mainly involve the addition of details regarding the timeline of the bill’s approval and clarifications around the interpretation of terms related to the 340B Contract Pharmacy Protection Act. These changes enhance the legal framework by clearly defining the types of drugs and entities involved, while also stating that certain conditions cannot be imposed on 340B entities by drug manufacturers or affiliates. This matters because it helps protect the access to affordable medications for eligible health care providers, ensuring they can obtain necessary drugs without arbitrary restrictions.
