Plain-language change summary

The updated version of the bill now includes provisions that require all types of schools—public, nonpublic, and private—to notify parents and guardians about incidents involving weapons on their property. Previously, the requirement only applied to public schools. This change is significant because it broadens the scope of accountability and communication regarding safety incidents, ensuring that all students, regardless of the type of school they attend, are protected and informed.
