Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to HB 2443 made small but significant adjustments to the language surrounding offenses related to child victimization. Specifically, the term "Fee" and "Fund," along with references to the Child Victim Recovery Fee and Fund, were removed. This change simplifies the focus of the bill, ensuring that it deals explicitly with defining "covered offenses" without delving into additional financial considerations. This matters because it helps streamline the legislation, potentially making it clearer and easier to navigate for those affected by these critical issues.
