The amended version of Bill HB 2377 changes the caffeine threshold for required disclosures from 250 milligrams to 80 milligrams per serving for beverages sold in retail food facilities. This means that more beverages will now need to carry a clear warning that they contain high levels of caffeine, aimed at helping consumers make informed choices about their caffeine intake. This change matters because it seeks to improve consumer safety and awareness, especially for those sensitive to caffeine.
