Plain-language change summary

The latest version of HB 1871 has made some notable changes, including the removal of a focus on "exclusive nonresidential use" in the context of protecting commercial and industrial property. This means that the act now applies more broadly to commercial and industrial entities without restricting it to only those properties that are nonresidential. These adjustments could have implications for a wider range of businesses, enhancing their security measures.
