Plain-language change summary

The amended version of Bill HB 1752 now focuses specifically on studying whether the ACT and SAT can replace the Keystone Exams for high school students in subjects like literature, algebra I, and biology. It removed the possibility of including the Smarter Balanced assessments in this study and added the State Board of Education as a recipient of the final report. These changes clarify the scope of the study and target the report's findings to specific educational leaders, which may lead to more precise policy recommendations regarding standardized testing in Pennsylvania.
