Creates the "Louisiana GOP" special prestige license plate and provides for the creation, issuance, design, implementation, fees, distributions, and promulgation of rules applicable to these license plates.
Proposed law requires that the Dept.
of Public Safety and Corrections (DPS&C), office of motor vehicles (OMV), issue a special prestige license plate to be known as the "Louisiana GOP" license plate, provided that there is a minimum of 1,000 applicants for such plates.
Proposed law specifies that the plate is restricted to use on passenger cars, pickup trucks, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, and vans.
Further directs the DPS&C, OMV, to create this special prestige license plate when the applicable statutory provisions are met and the department's electronic vehicle and registration system is updated to accommodate the creation of the new plates.
Proposed law requires the secretary work in conjunction with the Republican Party of La.
toselectthecoloranddesign oftheplate.
