Provides relative to housing for victims of human trafficking.
Proposed law provides for housing vouchers for human trafficking survivors.
Proposed law defines "local housing authority" and "voucher".
Proposed law provides that local housing authorities shall give preference for vouchers to human trafficking survivors.
Proposed law provides that a local housing authority shall verify that the person applying for the vouchers complies with all of the following:
(1) Meets all standards and requirements outlined in the respective voucher program.
(2) Is a human trafficking survivor as verified by certain sources.
Proposed law provides that any address attached to a voucher given pursuant to proposed law shall not be disclosed without the informed consent of the person about whom the informationissought, orasdirectedbyacourtorder.
Providesthatconsentforreleaseshall not be given byan abuser or alleged abuser of a minor or incapacitated person or the abuser or alleged abuser of the other parent of anyminor.
