In plain language

The bill regulates payment methods for dental care providers under insurance policies.

This bill amends the Illinois Insurance Code to prevent insurance companies from requiring dental providers to accept only credit card or electronic payments. It also allows for changes in payment methods under specific conditions.

What this means for you
  • Workers: It ensures that dental providers cannot be forced into accepting only electronic payment methods, thus maintaining service access.
  • Families: Families using dental services will benefit from potentially improved reimbursement processes and payment options for care received.
  • Healthcare: This means dental care providers have more options for payment without being restricted to specific methods.
