Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Senate Bill No. 470 make key changes regarding funeral service contracts. Specifically, it clarifies when the funds from these contracts can be distributed, including situations like when the beneficiary passes away or when they reach a certain age. This change is important as it provides clearer guidelines for funeral service providers and helps ensure that beneficiaries receive the funds they are entitled to in a timely manner. Additionally, it modifies how contracts with higher education institutions are managed, which can affect how educational programs are funded in the state.
