Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 5155 establishes a working group tasked with exploring the development of a searchable database for pesticide sales and usage data. Key changes include a specific requirement for the group to compare this initiative with similar databases in at least two other states, focusing on the costs of implementation and use, as well as possible security and proprietary concerns. This matters because creating a well-informed database can improve transparency and tracking of pesticide use, which is vital for environmental protection and public health.
