Plain-language change summary

The amendment to HB 565 changes the requirement for minors to enter a club where alcohol and specialty beverages are sold. Previously, it stated that minors had to be accompanied by a person who is at least 21 years old. Now, it allows minors who present a valid military identification card to enter without needing to be accompanied by someone 21 or older. This change recognizes military service as a qualifying factor for minors’ entry.
