Plain-language change summary

In the proposed amendments to HB 2382, the requirement for the governing board to approve secondary employment has changed from needing a unanimous vote to just a public consideration and vote. Additionally, the language that previously allowed for this decision to be made solely through a unanimous vote has been removed. This change is significant because it makes it easier for school administrators to take on additional jobs outside of their primary roles, potentially broadening their professional opportunities. However, it also raises questions about the transparency and accountability of such decisions, as there are no longer strict voting requirements.
