Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Senate Bill 1006 removed a provision that allowed in-state individuals who contribute $200 or less to have their names and occupations included in campaign finance reports only if they agreed to that disclosure. This means that now all contributions of this amount will not require personal details to be reported, which may encourage more people to contribute without fear of their information being made public. This change could potentially increase participation in the political process while also enhancing privacy for smaller donors.
