Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of House Bill 2870, a key change includes the addition of a provision allowing a person registered as a sex offender to establish residence with another registered person, so long as they are related by blood, marriage, or adoption, without facing legal penalties. Additionally, the bill now prohibits individuals classified as level two or three offenders from living with another registered offender in a single-family home unless they are legally related. These changes aim to clarify and regulate living arrangements for sex offenders, balancing community safety with the realities of familial relationships.
