Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Senate Concurrent Resolution 1024, a requirement was added that candidates must not only have been residents of Arizona for at least three years but also must have lived in the specific district from which they are elected for at least one year before the election, and they must be members of their political party, if applicable. This change emphasizes the importance of local representation by ensuring that candidates are familiar with the communities they wish to serve. By requiring candidates to live in their districts for at least a year prior to their election, it aims to promote more accountable and engaged leadership at the local level.
