What changed in the latest version

The latest version of SB 122 clarifies that health care insurers must include all licensed hospitals, nursing facilities, and mental health facilities in their provider networks, along with their employed healthcare providers. It also requires that facilities operated by Alaska tribal health organizations are part of the network. This change is important because it aims to ensure that insured individuals have broader access to necessary medical services, enhancing patient choice and care options across the state.
