Plain-language change summary

The bill HCR 6 has been updated to clarify that it commemorates the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps, rather than simply noting its anniversary. This change emphasizes the significance of the specific milestone being celebrated, which is set for November 10, 2025. By recognizing the occasion as a birthday, it highlights the historical importance of the Marine Corps in a more personal and celebratory manner. This distinction matters because it fosters a greater appreciation for the contributions of the Marine Corps to both national and local history, especially to the people of Alaska.
