Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 321 removes the prohibition on hunting brown bears in the Kamishak Bay area and focuses only on the area between the McNeil River Wildlife Sanctuary and Katmai National Park. This change expands protections for brown bears in the specified region while eliminating restrictions in Kamishak Bay. This matters because it reflects a commitment to wildlife preservation in the designated areas, ensuring that these bear populations have a safe habitat without the additional pressure from hunting in certain areas.
