The updated version of HB 272 now states that a specific section will take effect the day after it receives approval from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, rather than starting automatically on January 1, 2027. This change is significant because it allows for a more flexible timeline that can adapt to federal approval processes, ensuring that the bill's provisions can be implemented in a timely manner once they receive necessary endorsements.
