The recent changes to Bill HB 2551 include clarifying that members can maintain eligibility for benefits for a full twelve months, as long as they don’t exceed the age limit during that period. Additionally, it specifies the rules for collecting copayments and premiums based on income levels, as well as the criteria for granting hardship exemptions for members who may struggle to pay. These updates are important because they aim to ensure continuous access to health benefits for eligible individuals while providing flexibility for those facing financial challenges.
