Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 1312 allows physical therapists to order musculoskeletal imaging, like X-rays, but now includes specific requirements for reporting the results to the patient's primary healthcare provider within seven days. Additionally, if the patient does not have a primary healthcare provider, the physical therapist must refer the patient to one if they suspect any issues that are beyond their expertise. This change is important as it enhances communication between healthcare providers, ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate care based on their imaging results.
