Plain-language change summary

The updated version of HB 151 simplifies the process for obtaining federal approval for changes to the state Medicaid plan. Instead of requiring waivers and amendments to be approved by a specific date (July 1, 2027), the new text allows for approval to happen whenever the federal government deems it necessary. This change is important because it could expedite the implementation of the bill, ensuring that necessary healthcare services are accessible sooner without the pressure of a hard deadline.
