Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to HB 126 allows Native village corporations in Alaska that have been involuntarily dissolved to reinstate themselves at any time, rather than only within a two-year period. Previously, corporations needed to apply for reinstatement within a specific timeframe or miss their chance. This change is significant because it gives more flexibility to Native corporations, allowing them to recover and operate without the strict deadline that could have hindered their efforts to reinstate.
