Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Senate Bill 1192 clarify and streamline funding requirements for a project related to vehicle lanes on Interstate 10. Notably, it specifies that the city of Buckeye must contribute $3 million and that the Maricopa Association of Governments needs to raise at least $10 million from other sources. It also ensures that any available federal funds will be used before state money is allocated. These changes are significant because they pinpoint the financial commitments and encourage the use of federal resources, helping to advance the project more effectively.
