Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HB 2573 clarify the disclosure of fees that landlords are required to provide to tenants. Specifically, the language now states that "fees are charged," rather than suggesting that they may be chargeable, which provides clearer expectations for tenants about potential costs. This change matters because it ensures that tenants have a better understanding of their financial obligations upfront, helping them avoid unexpected expenses and fostering a more transparent landlord-tenant relationship.
