Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill HB 2097 introduces important changes by replacing specific language about child abuse hotlines. The updated bill now includes the telephone number for a national child abuse hotline instead of a centralized intake hotline, and it ensures that this information is accessible in English, Spanish, and other languages upon request. This change matters because it broadens the support options available for children in crisis, making it easier for them and their guardians to seek help. The bill also emphasizes making critical information clear and visible for students.
