Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of SB 1663, the focus has shifted from establishing a "State Permitting Council" to creating a "State Permitting Dashboard." This new dashboard will serve as a resource to streamline and manage permits needed for various infrastructure projects related to energy, transportation, and land use. The change matters because it aims to enhance efficiency and transparency in the permitting process, making it easier for projects to move forward and for stakeholders to access information. Additionally, the previous council structure was set to expire in 2027, while the dashboard approach appears to have a more lasting framework.
