Tragically, Christina’s life was taken by a gunman following a concert in Orlando, Florida in June 2016.  In the wake of this tragedy, Christina’s family established the Christina Grimmie foundation to support individuals and families facing similar unexpected hardships and crises, specifically families who have lost a loved one to gun violence.
Christina’s artistry, voice, and connection with her audience continue to resonate with fans around the world and her music and performances remain widely celebrated and continue to inspire new generations.  June 2026 will mark the 10-year anniversary of Christina’s passing.       It is altogether fitting and proper to designate June 10, 2026 as “Christina Grimmie Day” to recognize Christina’s lasting cultural impact, honor her legacy as a New Jersey artist, and promote awareness of efforts to support victims of unexpected tragedies.
