Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill A5064 remove the requirement for NJ Transit to publish information related to staffing shortages and the mean distance between failure for each passenger car. Instead, the focus is now on crew and engineer availability and the overall rail passenger service adjusted for Amtrak issues. This change simplifies the reporting requirements, which may affect how NJ Transit communicates service performance data to the public.
