Plain-language change summary

The amendments to SB 2239 introduced a new section for an apprenticeship grant program, specifying that the program will be administered by the labor commissioner. The bill now includes eligibility guidelines that require students to be full-time, make progress in their program, and maintain a minimum GPA. Additionally, it sets aside $1.1 million to fund the program over the next two years. These changes aim to support individuals in apprenticeship programs by providing financial assistance to help them succeed in their training.
