The revised Bill HB 1591 reduces the total amount allocated for the county fair resiliency grant program from $3 million to $1.5 million. Additionally, the source of funding has changed from the general fund to the strategic investment and improvements fund. This amendment matters because it reflects a more targeted approach to funding, ensuring that county fairs have access to necessary financial support for infrastructure while also imposing a requirement for matching funds, which encourages local investment in these projects.
