Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to House Bill 1515 adjusts the regulations surrounding how motor vehicle manufacturers or distributors compensate dealers for warranty work. Notably, the updated bill explicitly lists diagnostic work, maintenance programs, and extended warranty services among the tasks that should be reasonably compensated. This change is important as it aims to ensure that dealers receive fair payment for all aspects of warranty work, which could improve service quality and dealer satisfaction in North Dakota.
