Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 1469 clarify the requirements for candidates running for office in North Dakota. Notably, candidates are now allowed to submit either a state-required statement of interests or a federal personal disclosure statement during presidential election years. Additionally, individuals who filed a statement during primary elections won't need to file again before the general election. These changes aim to streamline the filing process, making it easier for candidates to meet disclosure requirements.
