The amendment to House Bill 1460 clarifies the requirements for substitute caregivers and respite care providers in adult foster homes. It establishes specific guidelines on the number of days these caregivers can provide services during certain periods, ensuring that residents receive consistent care. This change matters because it helps to maintain a high standard of care for adults in foster homes, while also allowing flexibility for care providers, ultimately benefiting both residents and their families.
