The amendment to Senate Bill 994 includes a new provision that requires funding for the WisconsinEye Public Affairs Network, Inc., as part of the contract for operating the public affairs network. Additionally, it establishes a deadline for submitting proposals and outlines a timeline for the distribution of these proposals to the legislature. This change matters because it not only ensures that WisconsinEye receives financial support for its operations, but it also creates a structured process for evaluating and approving proposals, promoting transparency in governmental proceedings.
