Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Senate Bill 214 introduces provisions that allow out-of-state health care providers to offer telehealth services in Wisconsin, provided they register with the appropriate state department or licensing board. Specifically, these providers must hold an active and valid license from another state and meet certain criteria. This change is significant because it broadens the availability of health care services to Wisconsin residents, making it easier for them to access care from qualified professionals who may not be physically located in the state.
