Plain-language change summary

The changes to Assembly Bill 100 clarify how public and private schools should categorize athletic teams based on the biological sex of participants. The amended bill specifies that schools must designate teams as male, female, or mixed-sex, and prohibits students designated as male from participating in teams designated for females. This matters because it establishes explicit rules for how students can participate in school sports, potentially impacting the inclusion and rights of students based on their gender identity.
