OF Sumter COUNTY AND TO EXTEND THEIR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS LARGE AND LOVING FAMILY AND HIS MANY FRIENDS.
  Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were saddened to learn of the death of Harold Raymond Waynick Jr.
at the age of seventy-eight on August 23, 2026, while surrounded by family singing hymns and praying as he drifted into the arms of Jesus;
and   Whereas, born in Sumter on December 18, 1947, he was a son of the late Harold Raymond Waynick Sr.
and Evelyn Workman Waynick.
He was reared in a loving home with four siblings:
Rusty Waynick, Danny Waynick, Debbie Evenich, and Bonnie Parker;
and   Whereas, Mr.
Waynick earned a doctorate in pharmacology at the University of South Carolina and served as a pharmacist for forty-one years and operated Waynick's Pharmacy in Sumter;
and   Whereas, a faithful member of Zoar Church, he served the congregation as an ordained Baptist lay minister and Sunday school teacher for over fifty years.
He studied the Scriptures intently, spending hours annotating his Bibles, even studying the original Hebrew and Greek;
and   Whereas, Mr.
Waynick made a lasting impact exceeding his earthly life by sharing the gospel of Jesus with all who knew him, not only with words, but with his daily life.
Those who spent time talking with him often learned something new about Jesus and were challenged to think more deeply about their own faith or pondered their trust in Jesus as their own Savior;
and   Whereas, Mr.
Waynick remained a huge fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks, especially Carolina football and women's basketball, and he enjoyed the outdoors where he was an avid deer hunter and bass fisherman;
and   Whereas, together with his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, Gail Coker Waynick, he reared three fine children:
Kelliegh W.
Lowder, Harold R.
"Tripp" Waynick III, and Brent Waynick.
His children blessed him with the affection of ten loving grandchildren:
Clayton Lowder IV, Coker Lowder, Liza L.
Meyers, Kyndal Pillsbury, Mary Ellis Waynick, Nathan Harris-Waynick, Harry Waynick, Kinsley Waynick, Sims Waynick, and Banks Waynick.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tillman Roy Tumbleston Waynick;
and   Whereas, Mr.
Waynick was further blessed to see the continuation of his loving and godly family legacy in three great-grandchildren:
Ravenel Lowder, Tate Meyers, and Marleigh Lowder;
and   Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are grateful for the life and legacy of Harold Raymond Waynick Jr.
and for the example of faith and devotion he set for all who knew him.
Now, therefore,   Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
  That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the passing of Harold Raymond Waynick Jr.
of Sumter County and extend their deepest sympathy to his large and loving family and his many friends.
  Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Raymond Waynick Jr.
