Whereas, the Honorable Boima S.
Kamara, Director General of the West African Monetary Agency, is a distinguished economist whose career serves as a pillar for West African regional integration;
and Whereas, with advanced degrees from the University of Ghana and Johns Hopkins University, he has served in pivotal roles, including Minister of Finance and Development Planning for Liberia.
His nonpartisan reputation for fiscal competence has made him a trusted advisor on various multilateral committees regarding regional economic health;
and Whereas, Director General Kamara is the first Liberian to head the West African Monetary Agency (WAMA).
He is leading the strategic repositioning of the agency to ensure the successful implementation of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Monetary Cooperation Program.
His focus on macroeconomic stability, data-driven research, and strategic communication is the engine behind the regional movement toward the Eco single currency.
This ambitious framework is designed to harmonize fiscal policies across member states and reduce dependency on external reserves;
