Gray A CEREMONIAL RESOLUTION _______ IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA _______ To acknowledge and celebrate the 30 Anniversary of Suited for Change as an organization that provides support to women seeking to enter the workplace in Washington, DC.
WHEREAS, Suited for Change’s model of providing women-to-women workforce development services, coaching, and peer support has empowered 29,000 women to build self- confidence and achieve their professional and personal goals over the past three3 decades;
and WHEREAS, the majority of COVID-19 pandemic-related job losses have been experienced by women, Suited for Change has provided essential services to women seeking to re-enter the workforce and reestablish their financial footing;footing.
and RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the “Suited for Change 30th Anniversary Recognition Resolution of 2022”.
This resolution shall take effect immediatelyimmediately. upon the first date of publication in the District of Columbia Register.
