The bill S 7 adds the term "Native Hawaiian" to existing provisions related to Indian communities in the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. It also clarifies the definition of "Native Hawaiian" using an established federal law. Additionally, it expands the categories in a specific section of the Act to include not just "member providers" but also "organizations" and "communities." This change broadens the scope of entities that can be recognized under the law and may enhance support for those involved in addressing violence against women in these communities.
