Plain-language change summary

The amended version of H.R. 1225 adds numerous sponsors but removes specific allocations for how funds in the designated Fund should be used. Previously, the bill outlined set percentages for priority deferred maintenance projects, national wildlife refuge system backlog, public access and recreation backlog on public lands, and Bureau of Indian Education school construction needs. The removal of these provisions means there are no longer specified uses for the funds, which could allow for more flexibility in funding decisions down the line.
