90 Offered by Senators Shink, Bayer, Polehanki, Cavanagh, Chang, Geiss, Moss, Brinks, Klinefelt, Cherry, Anthony, Damoose, Johnson and Santana A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE JANUARY 2026 AS HUMAN TRAFFICKING PREVENTION MONTH WHEREAS, Human trafficking, whether in the form of sex trafficking or forced labor, is a threat to global security, public safety, freedom, and human dignity;

and WHEREAS, Traffickers are known to use fraud, intimidation, and coercion to control victims and force them to engage in commercial sex acts or forced labor against their will;
Whereas, Human trafficking, whether in the form of sex trafficking or forced labor, is a threat to global security, public safety, freedom, and human dignity;
and WHEREAS, The United Nations’ International Labor Organization estimates that human traffickers victimize 27.6 million people annually;
and Whereas, Traffickers are known to use fraud, intimidation, and coercion to control victims and force them to engage in commercial sex acts or forced labor against their will;
and WHEREAS, Traffickers are willing to exploit anyone, regardless of age, sex, socioeconomic background, nationality, or immigration status, as long as they believe they can make a profit;
