Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to SB 704 involve updates to the Broadband Advisory Council, specifically regarding its structure and purpose. The bill now clearly states that the Council is tasked with advising the Governor on policies and funding priorities to improve broadband access in Virginia. Additionally, the membership composition remains the same, but the language has been refined for clarity. This matters because enhancing broadband access is crucial for connecting rural communities, supporting local economies, and ensuring equitable access to technology across the state.
