The amendment to the bill updates the requirements for health regulatory boards within the Department of Health Professions regarding licensure, certification, and registration applications. The changes involve removing existing questions about mental health conditions and impairment, and instead, adding two new questions focused on assessing the applicant's potential risk to patients and their ability to perform essential job functions. This is significant as it alters how mental health is addressed in the application process, potentially reducing barriers for applicants with mental health conditions.
