The recent amendment to HB 2194 updates the reimbursement rate for noncredit workforce training programs, increasing it from a maximum of $3,000 to $4,000 per eligible student. Additionally, the requirement for students to sign an agreement to complete the program in order to avoid paying an extra fee in case of noncompletion has been removed. This change is important because it may encourage more students to enroll in workforce training, as they now face fewer financial penalties and a higher potential reimbursement for completing their programs.
