The recent amendment to HB 741 includes changes to the definition of a "school crisis, emergency management, and medical emergency response plan." Specifically, it now emphasizes the need for these plans to address a wider range of emergency situations, including acts of terrorism and the presence of unauthorized individuals. This is important because it enhances school safety by ensuring that schools are better prepared to manage various critical events, ultimately protecting students and staff more effectively.
