The amendment establishes a New Jersey Film Trail, which will identify locations in the state where filming for movies and television has taken place, explicitly stating that private residences will not be considered as part of this trail. The Division of Travel and Tourism will work with the Motion Picture and Television Development Commission to determine which sites will be included. Additionally, the revised text removes requirements for the division to oversee filming markers erected by private entities and clarifies restrictions on those entities regarding marker use. This streamlining may simplify the process for recognizing filming locations without the need for extensive regulation of associated markers.
